Chicago area here. Kroger bought out a regional chain who happened to own a grocery chain that I shopped at regularly. I knew bad things were coming and they did. Bye went local suppliers and in came Kroger items. Lost a lot of items I used to buy. Hardly go there now. Sad really. Even the independent grocers are closing. Consolidation sucks.
