Are there examples of arena/stadium subsidies actually generating new economic activity and improving a local economy? The Padres’ and Braves’ neighborhoods seem to be doing pretty good.

Usually, even the ones that look good are a case of the stadium riding the wave of an already developing area, rather than causing it. Truist Park is actually still a stinker: https://coles.kennesaw.edu/econopp/docs/Bradbury_Cobb_report_March2022.pdf
