Having travelled from NY to see the Jets play the then Skins at FedEx, which took something like 3 hours to get to from Union Station, taking the Metro to a car to a bus from the suburban office complex where we parked, the only reason to put the Commanders in DC is so they're as convenient as the Nats Stadium. Otherwise, rip off.

I don't get all the hype over hosting a couple of World Cup games. I love the World Cup and the Olympics, but I have no idea why people think this is such a big deal when it's clearly negatively impacted a lot of places including the financial strains on Greece and Brazil!

the mayors office says The stadium and its mixed-use areas are expected to generate $4 billion in taxes, 4X the outlay a win. They will build on the site where RFK stadium is now unused a win. Will provide jobs to some localy a win. What's the prob?

That revenue number is fantasy-land and the site can be used for plenty of other things that will create jobs and community benefits, plus that are not dark and empty 330 days per year.

I see RFK stadium hasn't been used since 2019. If that's true DC makes nothing on the site. Yes it could be used for other things but nobody has stepped up. Calling numbers fantasy land is no answer you must have numbers to back the claim up.
